ShoppiList Privacy Policy
ClickGear Labs (“we”, “us”, “our”) builds ShoppiList, a shopping and grocery list application. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. We designed ShoppiList to collect as little as possible.
1. Information we collect
List content you create. Items, categories and notes you add are stored on your device. If you enable list sharing or sync, that content is transmitted to our servers only to deliver it to the people you share with.
Account information (optional). ShoppiList works without an account. If you create one to sync or share, we store your email address and an encrypted authentication token.
Diagnostics. We may collect anonymous crash and performance data to fix bugs. This never includes your list content.
2. How we use information
We use your information solely to provide the app’s features — storing and syncing your lists, enabling sharing, keeping your account secure, and improving reliability. We do not use your list content for advertising and we do not sell your data.
3. Sharing and disclosure
Content is shared only with people you explicitly invite to a list. We use trusted infrastructure providers to host data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations. We disclose information only when required by law or to protect the safety and rights of our users.
4. Data storage and security
Local lists remain on your device. Synced data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on secured servers. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we apply industry-standard safeguards and retain data only as long as needed to provide the service.
5. Your choices and rights
You can use ShoppiList entirely offline without an account. You may edit or delete any list at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and associated synced data by contacting us. Depending on your region, you may have additional rights to access, correct or export your data.
6. Children’s privacy
ShoppiList is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised effective date, and where appropriate we will notify you in the app.
